Robust Variable-Pitch Control Design of PMSG Via Perturbation Observer

Wind turbine employs pitch angle control to maintain captured power at its rated value when the wind speed is higher than value. This work adopts a perturbation observer based sliding-mode (POSMC) strategy realize robust variable-pitch of permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG). POSMC combines system nonlinearities, parametric uncertainties, unmodelled dynamics, and time-varying external disturbances into perturbation, which aims estimate via without an accurate model. Subsequently, sliding mode (SMC) designed completely compensate estimation in real-time for sake achieving global consistent performance improving robustness under complicated environments. Simulation results indicate that, compared with vector (VC), feedback linearization (FLC), nonlinear adaptive (NAC), has best ramp random highest terms parameter uncertainty. Specially, integral absolute error index only 11.69%, 12.10% 15.14% that VC, FLC NAC speed.
